Semrock VersaChrome Filters Win 2011 Microscopy Today Innovation Award
Semrock is proud to announce that their VersaChrome tunable bandpass filters were selected as one of ten winners of the second annual Microscopy Today Innovation Awards. VersaChrome filters are the first interference filters that can be angle tuned up to 60 degrees with the ability to maintain high transmission, steep edges and blocking characteristics. Until now, angle tuning of interference filters to shift their spectral characteristics resulted in an undesirable loss in blocking and transmission performance in addition to polarized light separation. VersaChrome filters allow spectral adjustment by angle tuning with none of the aforementioned limitations.
The Microscopy Today Innovation Awards were designed to select and celebrate products making new strides in the microscopy marketplace. The judging team selected products that in their view will make new scientific investigations possible. The full list of winners will be published in the September issue of Microscopy Today.
