Semrock Awarded Laser Mirror Patent

Rochester, NY – Semrock, Inc., (www.semrock.com) a leading provider of high-performance optical filters, announced today they have been awarded U.S. Patent No. 6,894,838 for the ultra-broadband MaxMirror® laser mirror. The MaxMirror is the only mirror on the market with greater than 99% reflectivity for all wavelengths from 350 nm to 1100 nm, for any polarization state, and for all angles of incidence from 0° to 50°, simultaneously. This most recent Semrock patent covers mirrors with this unprecedented level of realized performance (as well as lesser mirrors). The MaxMirror also has proven reliability and a high laser damage threshold.
