Semrock Expands State-of-the-Art BrightLine® Fluorescence Filter Product Line

Rochester, N.Y. – Semrock, Inc., the leading manufacturer of high-performance optical filters for the biotech and analytical instrumentation markets, today added multiphoton fluorescence microscopy filter sets that offer dramatically improved levels of performance and reliability to the highly acclaimed BrightLine® family of fluorescence filters. The stunning performance of these new filter, ideal for multiphoton fluorescence excitation with a Ti:Sapphire laser and other nonlinear microscopy applications, was made possible by recent advances in Semrock's already cutting-edge ion-beam-sputtering (IBS) optical filter technology.

BrightLine's celebrated > 90% passband transmission is now available over an extraordinary 350 nm ultrabroad wavelength range. This near-total signal transmission is combined with exceptionally deep and guaranteed laser blocking (up to an optical density (OD) of 8) covering the popular Ti:Sapphire laser tuning range, thus offering researchers unprecedented signal-to-noise ratios, even in modern systems that utilize detectors like CCD cameras or avalanche photodiodes that are sensitive at the laser wavelengths.

These patent-pending BrightLine multiphoton filters serve a full range of applications with just two filter sets, thus conveniently accommodating the wide range of fluorescent dyes that are the essential tools of the modern researcher. With the reduced component count, and the famous no "burn-out" reliability of all BrightLine filters, these new multiphoton filters will not only boost research results, but even offer a lower total cost of ownership.
