Semrock Releases 2007 Catalog

Rochester, N.Y. – Semrock, Inc., the leading manufacturer of high-performance optical filters for the biotech and analytical instrumentation markets, today announced the release of its new 52-page full-color catalog for 2007. The catalog presents six product families for applications ranging from fluorescence instrumentation and microscopy, to Raman instrumentation, to biomedical laser systems, all supported by a series of helpful technical notes.

Forty new products and four in-depth technical notes were added to the hundreds of products and many notes from the previous catalog. A major highlight of the 2007 catalog is the immediate availability of Semrock's new high-performance, high-reliability filters at ultraviolet (UV) wavelengths including 248 nm, all made with its advanced Ion Beam Sputtering technology. The new filters include 248 and 266 nm versions of the ultrasharp RazorEdge® filters that are popular for Raman spectroscopy, as well as a 266 nm version of the industry-leading MaxLine® narrowband laser clean-up filters. This UV capability has also been extended to Semrock's renowned BrightLine® fluorescence filter product line—examples include a 280 nm bandpass filter with unprecedented transmission (> 70%) and wide blocking, and a unique fluorescence filter set for the excitation and imaging of tryptophan and other substances with UV-excited native fluorescence. Most catalog products ship from stock.

"Semrock never stands still. Though our 2006-2007 catalog was released only 4 months ago, this new catalog is chock full of product line additions and enhancements," says Dr. Victor Mizrahi, President & CEO of Semrock.
