Rochester,
N.Y., November 10, 2005 – Semrock, Inc.,
today announced that it is now offering a suite of the industry-leading
BrightLine® optical filters that have been specifically
tailored for popular fluorescence instruments, starting
with the Molecular Devices GenePix® microarray scanners,
the Becton Dickinson CARV II™ confocal imager, and
the Yokogawa CSU 10 and CSU 22 confocal scanners. These
offerings complement Semrock’s substantial line of
BrightLine microscopy and general-purpose fluorescence filters.
BrightLine
filters already ship as factory-original components with
many important fluorescence instruments, such as the GenePix
and the CARV II. These filters have been tailored to ensure
excellent performance in the specific instrument –
including high signal for exceptional brightness and sensitivity,
and low noise for optimal signal-to-noise ratio and specificity.
“We
are pleased to now make filters that are tailored for popular
fluorescence instruments directly available to end-users.
Customers who want to improve the performance and reliability
of their instrument by replacing outdated filters with our
modern high-performance ion-beam sputtered (IBS) filters,
or who wish to add these filters at new wavelengths, can
now obtain the industry-leading BrightLine filters for their
particular instruments directly from Semrock stock,”
said Dr. Victor Mizrahi, President and CEO of Semrock. “This
new program demonstrates Semrock’s commitment to bringing
its advanced IBS filter technology to the world’s
leading fluorescence instrumentation.”
Semrock’s
BrightLine fluorescence filters provide the highest peak
transmission for maximum brightness and sensitivity while
simultaneously providing superior contrast for high specificity.
Additionally, they are made exclusively with dense hard-coating
technology without any adhesives in the optical path. Their
unparalleled optical performance and reliability is made
possible by combining the most modern ion-beam sputtering
deposition systems with Semrock’s proprietary optical-coating
technology.
