Position: Manager, Master Scheduling/Supply Chain

and manufactures high-performance optical thin-film filters that
set the standard for biotech and analytical instrumentation. Semrock
is a rapidly growing company, with revenue from both the volume OEM
sales of tailored products and the sales of standard catalog products

include filters for fluorescence-based systems, for Raman spectroscopy
and for biomedical laser systems.
Position Description:
In support of its expanding business Semrock is looking for a well
rounded person to join its Operations team in the role of Manager,
Master Scheduling/Supply Chain. This person will be the master scheduler,
capacity planner and coordinate the daily planning, procurement,
and inventory control functions. Additional responsibilities will
include negotiating buying agreements and long-term contracts with
key suppliers in the optical manufacturing industry.
Specific activities will include:
• Determine the Master Schedule, develop and maintain the Capacity
Model.
• Coordinate all production planning activities, including monitoring
of customer demand through booked orders and forecasts, and scheduling
of equipment and manpower.
• Ensure all material requirements are met through robust purchasing
processes in accordance with our Quality Systems,
• Negotiate blanket purchase orders and contracts with raw material
suppliers
• Continue implementation of MRP system for improved scheduling, planning,
and inventory control.
• Provide accurate manufacturing information to Customer Service and
the sales team, including shipment schedules and lead-times.
• Drive supplier performance tracking via scorecards and audits, in
cooperation with the Quality department.

Qualifications:
Success in this position calls for a person with:
• 4-year degree in a Business or Management field with a minimum of
5 years of planning and procurement experience in a manufacturing
environment. APICS certification is a plus.
• Demonstrated proficiency in MRP and/or ERP systems; specific knowledge
of Epicor Vista is a plus.
• A high degree of attention to detail, very strong organizational
skills and an excellent work ethic.
• Must have exceptional time management and computer skills.
• Proven ability to manage people.
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and manage many tasks/projects
simultaneously.
The ability to work in a small team environment is required, so
we will be looking for evidence of strong written and oral communication
skills as well as a willingness to tackle any challenge. The right
individual will be able to demonstrate strong initiative and work
with minimal supervision.
