RazorEdge Dichroic beamsplitters, which reflect a standard laser line incident at 45° while efficiently passing the longer Raman-shifted wavelengths, boast an ultrasteep transition from reflection to transmission far superior to anything else on the open market. The guaranteed transition from laser line to passband in < 1% of the laser wavelength (regardless of polarization) makes these filters a perfect match to Semrock’s patented and popular normal-incidence RazorEdge ultrasteep long-wave-pass filters.

Currently available RazorEdge Dichroic beamsplitters

These filters are available in two grades determined by the “Transition Width," which is the guaranteed maximum difference between the laser wavelength (where the filter is highly reflecting) and the edge-wavelength at the 50% transmission point.

	Transition Width	< 1% of the laser wavelength for the “U grade”
		< 2% of the laser wavelength for the “S grade”

Round dichroic beamsplitters: Mounted in a 25 mm diameter x 3.5 mm thick black-anodized aluminum ring – see table below for rectangular filters. Custom-sized filters are available in one week.

Microscope cube note: Please check your microscope "cube" (filter holder) to determine whether it is compatible with 2 mm thick dichroic beamsplitters. These filters can be easily installed directly into an Olympus U-MF2 cube. Please contact us for information regarding cubes for other microscopes.
