Our MaxDiode filters are guaranteed to have an unprecedented 90% transmission over a carefully tailored range of each diode laser’s expected wavelengths, with ultralow passband ripple for assured consistency, all while dramatically reducing unwanted out-of-band spectral noise (especially spontaneous emission). MaxDiode hard-coated filters offer the following unique advantages:

  • Highest transmission exceeding 90%, over a carefully tailored range of each diode's possible laser wavelengths
  • Square ultralow-ripple passband for total consistency as the laser ages, over temperature, or when replacing a laser
  • Extremely steep edges transitioning to very high blocking to filter out the undesired out-of-band noise

MaxDiode Filters are Unique
Boost your fluorescence system performance with a "no burn-out" MaxDiode fluorescence excitation filter ideal for diode laser sources! Diode lasers differ from gas or solid state lasers in that their wavelength can vary appreciably from laser to laser, or with temperature, or as they age. Power may also be at a premium. Therefore the MaxDiode filters have an exceptionally high-transmission, ultralow-ripple passband for consistent high throughput. This remarkable passband is further defined by steep edges for high optical noise discrimination. Keep the desirable laser light while eliminating the noise!
