MaxLine® 45° Laser-line Beamsplitters |

Narrow beamsplitters for transmitting multiple laser lines at a 45° angle of incidence |

In many applications, such as laser-based fluorescence imaging systems, it is desirable to transmit the excitation laser light through a beamsplitter and subsequently separate the returning common-path signal (e.g., the fluorescence) by reflection off of the beamsplitter. This configuration is optimal because optical filters are generally more efficient in reflection than transmission, and fluorescence photons are more precious than excitation photons. |
Semrock has uniquely developed these narrow, laser-line transmitting beamsplitters to enable multiple laser lines to be transmitted to the common-path optics, while reflecting the returning signal with extremely high efficiency and over a very broad range of wavelengths between the popular laser lines. |

| These beamsplitters have high and narrow
transmission bands centered on popular laser lines while reflecting
fluorescence over the broad reflection bands. They are ideal for
high-quality imaging with better than 0.75λ flatness over the full
aperture.
